What is Access to Higher Education?

What is Access to Higher Education?

Access to Higher Education is designed to give you that step up you need to be able to progress in your career in engineering, or even start it. Upon completion, not only do you receive a qualification that will allow you to train to the next level, but you will have the opportunity to ease into the career you are aiming towards, studying all the vital knowledge needed before progressing onto higher education.

In the 2017-2018 academic year, we received a 100% pass rate for our students on the Access to Higher Education (Engineering) course, so if there is anywhere to do it, it’s here!

It’s not just the above statistic that makes the National College for High Speed Rail the best place to study this course though. If you choose to study here, you will be learning in a facility that has new, innovative technology which includes using VR, AR and a large range of equipment in our workshop spaces to assist your learning. You can expect guest lectures, off-site visits and practical workshops to help keep each day’s activities as diverse and engaging as possible.

The Access to Higher Education course is aimed to do exactly what you expect. By the end of the course, you will be ready to take on a higher level course. If you choose to stay with us, we have courses that are a great next step from the Access to HE, such as our Level 4 full-time course offering. You can even go further than that with our Foundation and Degree level courses. If you’re looking to start a job within rail and infrastructure, this course will allow you to build contacts within the industry in addition to putting you on track for a career in an industry that has more opportunities than ever.

If you have been out of education for a while, Access to HE could also be the ideal stepping stone back into it. It will help you focus on studying whilst building your knowledge of engineering and giving you a better understanding of where you may want to take your career in the future.

If all of this sounds like it could be up your street, why not enquire now and speak to our staff about how we can help you start your career in engineering! Read the course details here
