The Apprenticeship Standards
The National College for Advanced Transport & Infrastructure is helping to trailblaze new apprenticeship standards. These standards outline the specific skills, knowledge and behaviours (KSBs) required to fulfil a job role successfully and ensure your apprentice is the right fit for your job.
Working collaboratively with businesses, we help to develop apprenticeship standards to specific job roles in companies. In these trailblazer groups, we outline the skills, knowledge and behaviours required by an apprentice.
Alongside assessment criteria and a structured delivery programme, standards are a simple approach to ensure you have a staff member who can not only carry out a role successfully but who can demonstrate high quality, transferable skills.
Standards are replacing traditional framework apprenticeships as a more efficient method of apprentice training. In 2017/2018 accounted for 25% of all apprenticeship starts in the United Kingdom but demand is quickly rising.
