Level 3 Access To Higher Education Diploma (Engineering)


Access to HE Diplomas are the launch pad into a full-time or part-time university degree. Access courses are accepted by over 140 universities but be sure to check your chosen institute will accept the qualification before embarking on your studies with us.

Who Is The Course Aimed At

Individuals 19 years or over who are looking to gain the knowledge and skills needed to study at a higher level, or to seek employment opportunities. The course is an ideal springboard for the Cert HE and FDSc in High Speed Rail and Infrastructure.

Progression opportunities

On successful completion of this course, you could continue your studies at most UK universities on a range of engineering courses offered. If you have a particular university and course in mind please check with them to ensure the Access to Higher Education course will allow progression to that course. This course also provides a great entry point onto our Level 4 Cert HE or the two-year Level 5 Foundation Degree – with both leading to the BSc Top Up Degree.

  • One year, full-time (2/3 days per week)
  • Two years, part-time (2 evenings per week)

Entry Requirements
  • You will need to be working at Level 2 English and Maths and demonstrate your commitment to the course
  • Typically, learners on this course are aged 19 years old or over

Course Costs

  • Tuition fees will be £3,928 and candidates will be able to benefit from an Advanced Learner Loan which is available through Student Finance England which is written off on successful completion of a Student finance England fundable HE Course at level 4, 5 or 6.

  • If you are aged 19-23 and do not already have a full level 3 qualification, you may be entitled to funding to cover the cost of your course.
