Skills Development:
Students will develop a range of academic skills such as academic writing and research. The course is focused on employement and students will have the opportunity to develop employabiltilty skills that will help them access the workplace and develop sustainable careers in the rail industry.
This course leads to progression onto the Level 5 Higher Level Apprenticeship in Rail Engineering, degree study, or into employment.

Industry engagement
The College uses subject matter experts from industry to support the delivery of specialist aspects of the course. This provides access to real industrial experience and expertise. There is a eight week assessed work placement within this course.
